How to change the battery
This is my OSD kicking in. But on the acquisition of a electronic instrument including synthesisers I will replace the battery with a new one. My rational is simple, I have no idea when the battery was the last changed and I do not want my instrument to die mid creative flow, loosing all my work stored in the battery protected memory.
The Korg OASYS is a computer driven synthesiser, and all voice / combi / sequence / samples are stored on the hard drive.
Changing the battery on this synthesiser does not have the same impact on older synthesisers. The battery in the Korg OASYS supports the system settings of the computer. Loosing the battery can have unexpected consequences with the Linux operating system. The settings for the tones, sequencer, sampler etc are saved to the hard drive and loaded when the synthesiser boots up.
