How to use the T1 Workstation - The basics

With a T1 synthesiser is it all about Combi's, Programmes and Tones. The M1 started this pattern and while the implementation may have changes a bit this principle has continued through to this day on the Korg Workstation synths.

The T-Series extended the flexibility of the Combi's by allowing the musician to create a setlist / combi disk or series of setlist / combi disks for live performance and studio work.

This video covers the basic process to create a simple setlist / combi disk on your T-series synthesiser. The video uses my T1 synth, but the process is the same for the T2 and T3.

The power of the T-Series synthesisers and the T1 workstation is the ability to create performance sets in the form of setlist and combis to service them.  Once you have created you performance set then you need to save these for future use.

The T1 continued the minimalist button concept that came with the Digital Synthesisers.

While this video is not designed to go into depth on the operation of the T1. It will give you a flavour of what can be done with this synthesiser and how you might achieve it.
